(More customer reviews)I bought this to transmit PBS Kids channel from my 2nd satellite receiver in the basement to my toddle's room on the 2nd floor. Great reception if I turned off my 2.4GHz wireless network router and did not talk on my 2.4GHz cordless phone. With the router on, I got a strobing horizontal line down the screen. With the cordless phone, pressing the Talk button to use the phone killed the signal. I returned the product to the store.
If you don't have other 2.4GHz devices it seems like it will work well for you.

(More customer reviews)This product works great...when it works. The problem is since this is on the bleeding edge of technology it has a number of glitches. The largest problem you are going to run into has nothing to do with signal interference, but rather signal compatibility. I hooked up an Xbox360, Cable Box, PS3, and DVD player/sound system and sent the video signal to my projector and used the Toslink out for the sound which went to my DVD player/sound system. For the Xbox360 I could get video to get sent to my projector, but the sound wouldn't transmit to my sound system. For my PS3, which is made by the same company, I could get sound just fine, but no video. The only thing that worked properly is playing a DVD, but that was because the sound was localized to the system already otherwise I'm sure I would have gotten video only out of it. Bottom line, for video games and tv there was no lag, no contouring, and no pixilation. I ended up returning this product and opting for a hard wire run and just putting cable covers on to hide the cords. My advice, wait for the second generation of this product, and if you are going to buy make sure there is a good return policy...that's why I bought it on Amazon.

(More customer reviews)I just received the Air SynchHD yesterday so my experience is somewhat limited, but so far it is working great. I bought this to use to watch TV out by the pool on game day and to eliminate the long HDMI cable that I had been dragging back and forth each weekend and hanging out a window. So far I have tested it outside and the picture is as clear as it was when the HDTV was connected by HDMI directly to the cable box. My setup outside is definitely pushing the limits of the 33 foot NLOS so it took some time to find a placement of the receiver that would allow it to connect to the transmitter. But once connected, I let it run for about four hours and never lost the signal. While I bought this for game day outside I found that I can also use it during the weekdays when we are not outside to eliminate a second cable box in our exercise room. That setup puts the receiver about 20 feet from the transmitter and works perfectly as well. We are going to end up saving over $17 a month on our cable bill by eliminating two cable boxes (the one we had designated for outside and the one in the exercise room).
One possible option to consider: The Air SynchHD only has one HDMI-in port but I have hooked it up with a IO Gear HDMI smart switch and can use it with our cable box, PS3 and Blu-Ray player. The smart switch just sends the signal for whichever one is on to the transmitter. So, we can do movies, watch cable or play games outside (or in our exercise room). I definitely recommend this setup for anyone who wants to be able to use more than one HD device with the transmitter. It is much easier than disconnecting and reconnecting cables every time you want to switch from cable box to blu-ray, etc.. Oh, and the HDMI output feature is great as well to allow you to use this device with a cable box that is also connected to another HDTV. I run the output HDMI cable to our Onkyo receiver. The receiver has a multi-room feature that feeds our outdoor speakers so we can watch HDTV in full stereo sound outside.
If I experience any problems after further use I will update this review. But, I have to admit that so far this product has worked great.

(More customer reviews)So I came across this after checking out the Imation Link wireless, so glad I did not order the Imation one. Brite-view is not only cheaper, it also stream 1080p where as the Imation Link only stream 720p and cost more than Brite-view. I also see that HP makes the same product, also more expensive and the thing is HUGE compare to this. Extremely easy setup. NO LAG whatsoever!!!!! Seriously if you want to stream 1080p video from your laptop to TV you have to get this. One negative is you must have HDMI on your laptop or else it won't work. But Brite-view does make another product without HDMI.

My purchase before this item was a logitech universal remote. I spent 10 hours and 2 calls to India to set up and I ended up not using the RF remote because it didn't work.
REASON FOR PURCHASE (APPLICATION):
I wanted to gift my mom the ability to watch her DirecTV in the kitchen on the new 23" Samsung I got her. We didn't want to go through the hassle of having another big DirecTV HD DVR box and more coaxial line run around the house, so I bought the Briteview.INSTALL:
1. Plugged HDMI cable from Family room DTV receiver to back up base unit (kept the component video and audio plugged into cinema receiver for the main TV).
2. Plugged BV-2500 base unit into wall.
3. Placed Infared receiver over the DTV receiving IR port
4. 40ft away and through 1 wall I plugged receiving unit into back of Samsung 23" TV via HDMI
5. Plugged receiving unit into wall
6. Turned on both TV's and whaa-la
PRO's
* Not sure for all applications, but the DirecTV receiver was capable of sending component audio/video and HDMI aud/vid at the same time, so we could watch and adjust volume on both TV's at same time with ZERO LAG (both audio and video).
* SUPER EASY INSTALL WITH INFARED WORKING ON FIRST ATTEMPT
* HD picture quality is 1080P
* No extra running of cables for my application
* Small receiving unit makes for a clean looking install. Unit is smaller than most computer home routers.
CON's
* No HDMI out on the base unit (would make nice for lots of us who want to pass through the HDMI and don't have an AV receiver or want to change AV receiver input). Instead I have to use both HDMI and component out so.
UNKNOWN AND OTHER SUGGESTIONS
To complete the install I think I will probably need to buy an additional DireTV remote and program the 2nd TV's volume control to that.
Keep in mind your are going to be watching the SAME channel on the 2nd display if you are watching the primary display at the same time. That being said this isn't for most family's. My mom lives with just my dad and they enjoy watching the same thing.
Now my mom can cook family dinner and watch TV at the same time!!!
Keep in mind this was a gift from someone (me) who doesn't even own or watch TV.

(More customer reviews)The Philips SWW1800/27 Wireless HDTV Link actually works as advertised, transmitting the output of up to four high definition devices across a room without wires. It is simple to install and requires absolutely zero configuration. Plug it in and it works.
Philips gets bonus points for including an HDMI cable. This the first high definition device I've used that actually comes with one. I hope other manufacturers follow their lead.
I tested the device in my home, transmitting the output of a high definition camcorder and a few other devices approximately thirty feet across my living room to a plasma television.
Below are my observations. I am happy to answer additional questions left in the comment section.
DISTANCE:
This is strictly designed to be a "short haul" device. It does not have the range of a cordless phone or wireless internet router, but it does accomplish the goal of allowing video components to be located dozens of feet away from a television. It worked fine in the largest room in my home, but it did not work when I located the transmitter in an adjacent room.
CONNECTORS:
There are four inputs on the transmitter, two HDMI and two component. Note that the two component video inputs do not have digital audio connectors, so only stereo analog audio can be transmitted back to the television on those ports. Digital audio transmits perfectly through the two HDMI connectors.
IMAGE QUALITY
I tested the device with a number of components, including an HDV camcorder connected over component video cable, an upconverting DVD player connected via HDMI, and a Flip Camera connected via HDMI. Everything looked great at a thirty foot transmit distance with no noticeable degradation.
VIDEO GAME COMPATIBILITY
The Philips Wireless HDTV link does not recompress video so there are no noticeable delays between a button press and a reaction on screen.
The device will only support consoles that transmit over component video or HDMI. Newer Xbox 360s and Playstation 3 consoles have HDMI ports. The Wii does not support HDMI, but its optional component cable will work. The original Xbox, Gamecube, and some Playstation 2 consoles can work via optional component cables but older consoles will not work and will need to be directly connected to the television.
TELEVISION COMPATIBILITY
This device requires the television have an available HDMI port. Many older HDTVs are lacking HDMI connectors so you'll want to ensure your television supports HDMI before purchasing.
NO AV DEVICE CONTROL
This is strictly a video transmitter, it will not pass commands to your components. It also adds another remote control to your collection.
CONFIGURATION
There isn't any. Select the device and it shows up on the screen if the transmitter is in range. It simply transmits whatever the device wants to send to the television.
CONCLUSION
This is an expensive device but it works as advertised. In some cases it may be cheaper to hire a professional to install your home theater system and hide its associated cables. But if that's not an option this device will accomplish the task. It works beautifully and is surprisingly simple to set up.

It is the same gadget as one called Warpia except the plastic case is white. It worked great streaming laptop to TV downstairs so I bought it for my second TV upstairs. The video can be choppy if used with Atom based netbook, but it works flawlessly with the core 2 duo based HP notebook. It uses the processor horsepower for the video driver so the comp. must be strong enough to handle it. As long as it is used with the strong computer the video and audio will stream nicely to the TV. Even high def movies.

(More customer reviews)I'm looking for wireless HD solutions for a while to meet my needs : 1. to work with my DirectTV receiver DIRECTV Plus® HR24 High Definition MPEG-4 DVR (HR-24-500) HD DVRand wirelessly transmit the HD A/V signals to my 2nd TV in other room; 2. to wirelessly send signals to the projector from my laptop with HDMI output. Recently I found Amimon's WHDI solution is the most latest and advanced technology and here comes two products using this technology which can fulfill my requests and I got both of them. They are ASUS WiCast EW2000 Wireless HD Video Transmitter and Receiver (from my laptlop) and brite-View Air SyncHD New Arrival! brite-View "Air SyncHD" (BV-2322) Wireless 1080p HD Video/ Audio Transmission Kit(for my DirectTV receiver) and I'm satisfied with both of them so far though with limited time of ownership.
Asus WiCast is pretty straight forward to set up, I only need to connect the transmitter to my laptop and connect the receiver to the projector and it's done, it wirelessly streams everything on my laptop screen to the projector and then on the projection screen. The quality of signals and transmission are great (but probably it's designed for in-room usage only so there's limitation of the distance and the penetration. I tried to connect it to the DirecTV receiver but the signal got choppy after the wall in between even it's within 30 feet).
brite-View Air SyncHD works just like it should be, I connect the transmitter to DirectTV receiver (and connect the HDMI output of the transmitter with HDTV to pass through the signals) and also connect the receiver to my 2nd TV in other room within 30 feet. The quality of HD A/V signals and transmission are great too, only it takes a bit longer to synchronize. The penetration is great without any delay and I can control the DirectTV receiver in other room with its IR sensor/extender.
I really like these two products and the WHDI technology really works great. I review both of them is to provide information and reference for those who are also looking for wireless HD solutions and you can decide which one is most suitable for your situation. Hopefully it helps!
