I read the reviews about these units not working after a few weeks, but mine has been working almost every day since Christmas 2008. I turn transmitter and receiver off after every use. Good Luck!

(More customer reviews)i was actually dumb enough to install two of these. the first one i purchased on amazon. it was professionally installed. it worked for about an hour. then the sound works but no picture. just a blue screen. amazon like always was great with the replacement. they emailed me a return label for the old dvd player and overnighted a new one and i got it the next day. i had the old one removed and the new one installed at the same time. this one does not work either. the second one i got has a different problem. it works for about 30 minutes and then powers off. it does turn back on, on its own. it restarts the dvd were it left off. but then only plays for about 2 minutes at a time after that and powers off and on. i have spent a lot of money on install on these. ugh!! i just want a dvd for the kids in the van to keep them happy.

(More customer reviews)Tests on the ground with 150 ft. separation using the included antennas showed noticeable fluctuations in signal quality/strength when someone/something moved through the path. We purchased the L-Com 17 db backfire antennas and the signal is now solid at up to 500 feet (the maximum distance we have tested). The system is not broadcast quality but works great for our application (sending meeting video from one location to another). Mount the units/antennas as high as practical with a clear line of sight between them to avoid path interference problems. If you use separate antennas, keep the feed line as short as possible (we used two feet).

(More customer reviews)I just received the Air SynchHD yesterday so my experience is somewhat limited, but so far it is working great. I bought this to use to watch TV out by the pool on game day and to eliminate the long HDMI cable that I had been dragging back and forth each weekend and hanging out a window. So far I have tested it outside and the picture is as clear as it was when the HDTV was connected by HDMI directly to the cable box. My setup outside is definitely pushing the limits of the 33 foot NLOS so it took some time to find a placement of the receiver that would allow it to connect to the transmitter. But once connected, I let it run for about four hours and never lost the signal. While I bought this for game day outside I found that I can also use it during the weekdays when we are not outside to eliminate a second cable box in our exercise room. That setup puts the receiver about 20 feet from the transmitter and works perfectly as well. We are going to end up saving over $17 a month on our cable bill by eliminating two cable boxes (the one we had designated for outside and the one in the exercise room).
One possible option to consider: The Air SynchHD only has one HDMI-in port but I have hooked it up with a IO Gear HDMI smart switch and can use it with our cable box, PS3 and Blu-Ray player. The smart switch just sends the signal for whichever one is on to the transmitter. So, we can do movies, watch cable or play games outside (or in our exercise room). I definitely recommend this setup for anyone who wants to be able to use more than one HD device with the transmitter. It is much easier than disconnecting and reconnecting cables every time you want to switch from cable box to blu-ray, etc.. Oh, and the HDMI output feature is great as well to allow you to use this device with a cable box that is also connected to another HDTV. I run the output HDMI cable to our Onkyo receiver. The receiver has a multi-room feature that feeds our outdoor speakers so we can watch HDTV in full stereo sound outside.
If I experience any problems after further use I will update this review. But, I have to admit that so far this product has worked great.

(More customer reviews)I can't believe that I haven't found reviews for this product! I got a system so my wife could listen to the TV while watching in bed and not have the sound disturb others. I got this one because -1- it is RF as opposed to infrared so if she goes into another room she can still hear the sound, -2- has "drop-in" inductive charging of the rechargeable batteries as opposed to teeny-tiny contacts, -3- is from a well-known manufacturer as opposed to some off-brand, -4- it had switch-able frequencies to diminish the chance of interference with other 900MHz devices (I had to look at Sony's website for that), -5- the price is reasonable because of the quality reputation of Sony, and -6- it was available from [...] as opposed to some fly-by night company.
I was very pleased to find that it had arrived with the right cable (mini stereo to RCA L&R plugs) AND it works with devices that have RCA jacks OR mini stereo jacks because the transmitter has both types! We are fortunate that the TV has a headphone jack (unusual for the size of the tube) and it cuts off the TV speaker.
The sound in the headphones is amazing - so much better than sound from the speakers in any of the TVs in the house. I may get some of these instead of a surround-sound system for the family room.

(More customer reviews)So I came across this after checking out the Imation Link wireless, so glad I did not order the Imation one. Brite-view is not only cheaper, it also stream 1080p where as the Imation Link only stream 720p and cost more than Brite-view. I also see that HP makes the same product, also more expensive and the thing is HUGE compare to this. Extremely easy setup. NO LAG whatsoever!!!!! Seriously if you want to stream 1080p video from your laptop to TV you have to get this. One negative is you must have HDMI on your laptop or else it won't work. But Brite-view does make another product without HDMI.
