(More customer reviews)This dock works for synchronizing with iTunes or playing music from my 6th generation iPod Classic 120 GB. I have to take the iPod out of its clear plastic case in order to fit it into the dock. The Apple brand insets don't fit this dock.
The remote works well if it's pointed directly at the dock in a clear line of sight and fairly close range.
Of course, this dock has to be plugged into a computer or AC power supply through its USB cable. It's not battery powered.
This dock does NOT work for my 5th generation iPod Nano 8 GB. It includes an inset that fits, but the electronics are apparently incompatible--the iPod plays out of its internal speaker rather than through the docking station. For the time being, the Apple Universal Dock - Digital player docking station seems to be the way to go for this new iPod.
I don't know what they mean when they say you can "use the included A/V cable to enjoy video on your television." I don't see any video port or cable. You can see the stereo audio cable that was included with this dock in the customer images I posted. No video on the cable they sent me. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Kensington 33169 Digital FM Radio and Transmitter for iPods Review

(More customer reviews)This unit does both: receives FM as a radio, and transmits FM to your radio. Just purchased this yesterday, so I don't have good numbers on how long it takes to drain the iPod's battery. I do know that you can get a solid 4 hours at least. This unit does a fantastic job of transmitting my iPod selections to my FM stereo radio. I can take the iPod 30 metres away, around the house, and the music continues without interruption. I've heard that some of the FM transmitter systems didn't have much of a range, and was pleasantly surprised to find that this one is quite good.
For FM reception - you stick your headphones into the unit itself, rather than into the iPod's headphone jack - so I presume that it is just using the iPod as a power source rather than anything particularly intelligent.
Not needing to buy two different units seems like a good idea to me.
The one downside is that there is no way to charge the iPod while the Kensington unit is connected, whereas some of the FM transmitter-only systems can be plugged into car power supplies.

(More customer reviews)this product is even better than i thought! from the description it doesn't say that you can tune to specific stations (not just a list of ones that the device thinks you want to hear) i just hoped for the best when i ordered it. this means that i can use it at the gym to tune to the tvs and hear the sound. as far as i know this is the only product you can connect to an iphone/pod and do this. it does not have the iphone 4 listed as a compatible device but it works with mine. i highly recommend this product.

I want to listen to the TV in the bathroom as I get ready for work but I don't want to wake her. This solved the problem. I bought an audio coupler for [标签:Content].99 and connected the TV audio out to the transmitter, turned off the TV speakers and viola! The speaker hangs in my shower and I can listen to TV in the bathroom without waking my wife. Awesome! She hooks up her iPod to the transmitter when she's in the bathroom for a soak in the tub or getting ready to go out. No issues with interference or volume.. then again I'm only transmitting over about 15' or so. Battery life has been good so far. Wish there was an indicator for the bass boost so you could tell if it is on or off (you have to press it and listen for the distortion) but I never need to use it so whatev. Again, perfect for what I needed so it gets the 5 stars!

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit after trying the Itrip by Griffen Technologies which I found to be unsatisfactory. This unit does the job. In my car and on my boat, the Airplay works very well, even here in Southern California where there really aren't any completely clear FM frequencies. The Airplay seems to have much more power than at least two other FM transmitters I have tried, which enable it to function very well.
Setting up the Airplay is simplicity itself; one simply plugs it into the top of the Ipod and dial in the desired FM frequency. No software to deal with. Make sure that the volume control of the Ipod is at about 60-70%--this is the only critical setting. The Airplay has greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the Ipod by enabling me to use the Ipod anywhere I have an FM radio, thereby letting me use the nice speaker systems in my boat and car. Great! One day, of course, car and marine stereos will have Ipod docks. But until that happy day, the Airplay will be there for us.
