The HDTV is beautiful and the newest software sees QAM channels better than before (that was a bad experience then, but the newest drivers help tremendously). However, the analog is so grainy and aweful that Hauppauge should be ashamed of this product. I emailed them regarding this, but no reponse back. I have Hauppauge NTSC older cards in 2 other computers, 1 is Hauppauge 150 (hardware driven, as this current model) and the other is a many year old software driven card - both of which have excellent, clear, pictures with great color. This model has extremely poor analog picture. I would have returned it, but I like the HDTV enough to keep it, but it irks me that a quality company would put such a lousy chip on this card, maybe because analog is going away? Not sure, but for many who use cable, we would like to still use the analog for our cable analog channels until they are gone. I bought Theatre 650 HD card from MSI with ATI chip (both analong & HDTV are excellent) to take care of that alongside this card in my set up. If you are wanting HDTV, this card is excellent, but don't buy if you are still wanting to view analog TV channels.

The Hauppauge 1199 WinTV-HVR-1600 includes dual TV tuners to let you watch both digital and analog television on your PC, in a window or full screen. With PVR software and built-in hardware for MPEG-2 encoding, you can also record television onto your computer for viewing later without slowing down your computer.
Watch High-definition Digital TV on Your Computer With dual format TV tuners, the WinTV-HVR-1600 lets you watch ATSC digital TV as well as QAM digital TV and analog cable TV. ATSC digital TV, which typically requires an antenna for reception, is the over-the-air HDTV standard for North America. The WinTV-HVR-1600 also lets you watch and record QAM channels, which are unencrypted digital channels broadcast by your local cable operator. If you don't have access to digital television channels yet, you can also watch regular analog cable television. And with the included remote control, you can control your cable TV or satellite set top box.
In addition to high-definition video, the card also features a dbx-TV stereo decoder for great TV sound. The card has Composite/S-Video and audio inputs that allow for connecting VCRs or cable/satellite set top boxes.
Your Own Personal Digital Video Recorder! With the included software, you can easily record TV shows to your hard disk using MPEG-2. Several recording options are available depending on your playback needs; higher quality video requires more disk space. With XP-MCE and Vista, you can add the WinTV-HVR-1600 as either the primary or secondary TV tuner. The Microsoft Media Center application supports up to two TV tuners so you can watch on channel while recording another.

(More customer reviews)I just received my headphones and used them for a trip to Disneyland. They are awesome and my kids loved them!! I disagree with the comment about the OEM headphones. Our headphones that came with the car are not as comfortable for the kids and it is coming apart. The Kidz Gear headphones are great cause they have a softer lining around the ears that probably won't come apart like the cheap foam things that are around the headphones we have now.
The sound quality was very good. I tried them out myself. I like how they fit, even for an adult. They are very comfortable and sleek looking. My kids would fight over who got to wear the Kidz Gear headphones over the ones that came in the car.
The customer service at Kidz Gear is also very good. I had a question for them on how to use the headphones at home with our TV. They were so helpful and explained things in a way that a non-tech person could understand. It is hard to find great customer service these days and I was very impressed with them. They were awesome!
I would highly recommend these headphones to kids and adults to use. They are so comfortable and I like how they turn themselves off after a while to keep the battery life. Our headphones that came with the car doesn't have this feature. You don't even know how many times we've not had headphones to use cause the battery has run out.
I WOULD RATE THIS PRODUCT 5 STARS!

I was looking a pair for over $100 and decided to get these and if they didn't work I would just buy the other. They are made kinda cheap but they work good. I can get clear sound in the surrounding rooms. sometimes when I turn my head I will get static but other than that the sound is great. The other thing is that the headphones get uncomfortable after a while because they are not very deep so your ear rests on the hard inner of the headphone. I use them all the time and would recommend them to my friends. Excellent headphones for $17

After a long 2 day wait(kidding as I consider it fast from the states to Switzerland)..... I received the device.
At unpacking it turned out that there was no European plug attachment included but as my BBerry has one I will just skip charging it thing for now.
Connected the little receiver box. (Had to rip out my SatReceiver HDMI to save time looking for a spare cable but thats OK)
*HDMI cable not included but I have some somewhere in the house so that is OK.
At installation, there are two options of interest.
Install the software or download the latest drivers and install.
Of course I could not wait so installed the CD drivers and attached the USB adapter to my laptop.
Screen popped up in few seconds and looked perfectly fine.
No thinking required, worked like a charm.
I did notice though that there was an issue with the screen because whenever I typed or moved the mouse, the screen flashed. (Probably an interupt conflict somewhere)
A little dissapointed with this I downloaded the 50-ish updated drivers.
After download I found that there was a firmware upgrade in the driver pack for both USB adapter and receiver.
Upgrade and reinstall took approximately 2 minutes and fixed the flickering screen.
Even though the resolution 1280X720 is a little lower than I am used to as I run on 1900X1200, it is up to supplier specifications so this is fair enough.
*Note to self, connect HDMI to HDMI when playing SC-II or EVE.
UPDATE: Next day the screen duplicated so I had to set it back. Perhaps there has been an update because the resolution is now higher than spec. 1360X768!!!
Tips when installing:
-Download the latest drivers first to prevent you uninstalling and re-installing.
-Update the firmware.
-Get the HDMI cable before you receive the device.
Note to those who can't make it work:
Possibly your laptop settings are not correct, TV is not up to spec or the OS is a mess *Clean it.
Note regarding people that complain regarding line of sight:
My laptop is approx 25 feet away from the receiver and it works like a charm.
The receiver needs NEAR line of sight, NLOS, NO problem. *I would not like anyone close to where I live to be able to pick up my screen now would I?
If I walk in front of the transmitter, no issue.
If I block the transmitter with the box in which it came, no issue.
If I put my hand in front, no issue.
If I wrap my hand around it... guess what.. it does not work and the connection drops.
*Unplug and re-plug the transmitter and it is OK again.
For those who want to know:

(More customer reviews)I use this most of the time to connect the Bluetooth audio output from my iMac to the stereo, so that I can listen to internet radio using real speakers. The computer and the stereo are in different rooms, not even adjacent rooms, and the DC800 has no difficulty connecting to the Mac. Sound quality is very good; I have not had the problems that some other reviewers mentioned about sound quality.
The DC800 will do more, though. I can listen to whatever the stereo is playing, such as broadcast TV or a DVD, via Bluetooth headphones (I use Motorola BT820s). I can listen to my iPod through the stereo using a tiny Bluetooth iPod adapter (from Sony) that attaches via the iPod's docking connector. Now, it's easy to connect an iPod to a stereo by just plugging a stereo cable into the iPod's earphone jack, but then you have to leave the iPod near the stereo or use a long cable. With a Bluetooth connection, you can sit across the room, holding the iPod, and use the iPod's controls to select music. You'll also need some sort of remote for the stereo's volume control, because the volume setting on the iPod has no effect on the volume of the Bluetooth connection, at least using the Sony adapter.
The DC800 was easy to set up and easy to pair with the Bluetooth devices I have. It has no controls other than a power switch (I leave it on all the time) and a button to press for pairing. It just works.
One thing it WON'T do is two Bluetooth sessions at once. I can't play the computer's sound through the stereo via Bluetooth and at the same time listen to the stereo's output via Bluetooth headphones. There's no real need to do this (just pair the headphones directly with the computer), but I tried it to see if it works -- it doesn't.
I definitely recommend this product.
